1H13 Drinks With Joel Cohen of MIT Investment Management

We invite members of the investment community to join us for mid-year drinks with guest Joel Cohen, a member of the investment team of MIT’s Endowment who is in town for the summer.  

MIT’s goal is to partner with a small number of exceptional investors around the world who can compound MIT’s capital at high rates so that hundreds of years from now MIT can fund even more scholarships, research, and grants. The team at MIT spends their time traveling around the world seeking to find and identify these exceptional firms, and hope to do so as early as possible so that they can enjoy as long a partnership as possible. 

Joel is happy to talk about what he does at MIT and to share any information that might be helpful with the group, such as what he looks for in fund managers and the characteristics of success (and unsuccessful) firms.
