American Express: Consulting Full-Time Senior Manager

The Strategic Planning Group (SPG) is American Express’s internal consulting division, reporting directly to Chairman and CEO Ken Chenault. SPG works for top management on the most critical challenges. Consultants in SPG gain exposure to numerous business units and have the opportunity to develop their core consulting and leadership skills through their project work.  After approximately two years, SPG consultants take on new roles in business units across American Express globally. Many of our most senior leaders — including Ken Chenault himself — began their careers with American Express at SPG.  The group consists of approximately 55 staff based in New York and London.

What would you do every day as a Senior Manager in Consulting at American Express?

o   As part of project teams, provide high-level strategic counsel to top management and executives
o   Analyze and manipulate data to develop frameworks and solutions to tackle key business issues
o   Perform analysis and research to develop insights as part of a project team
o   Provide thought leadership and partner with business unit clients to develop and present implementable solutions

Idomoo: UK Sales Manager

In accordance with its ambitious plans for growth in the UK, Idomoo is now looking to hire an exceptionally talented sales executive to take on the role of a Sales Manager. This is challenging and exciting role with responsibility for supporting the growth of Idomoo’s business in the UK. 

The SM will take responsibility for managing and growing existing relationships and partnerships as well as developing new business and growing sales via a combination of direct and channel sales.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and ambitious sales professional who would relish the opportunity to build something new and exciting. Idomoo is keen to hire talented “go getters” with knowledge and experience in marketing, direct marketing, advertising, customer experience and CRM, preferably across a number of business sectors.

The SM will join the UK Project Manager and will report directly to UK GM, based in London.

Responsibilities:
o   Lead and manage sales via a combination of direct and channel sales i.e. Creative Agencies and system integrators
o   Develop new and grow existing clients
o   Create awareness and demand via various marketing campaigns
o   Meet ambitious sales targets
The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge experience and skills sets to meet the above responsibilities.
o   +5 years plus sales experience in the marketing, direct marketing, advertising, customer experience and CRM space, where he/she has actively engaged at directors and C level.  Preferably in one or more of the following sectors: Telecommunications, Insurance, Utilities, Financial Services, Healthcare
o   A proven record of successful sales & revenue generation and growth in the marketing & communications space, preferably across a number of business sectors
o   A proven track record of developing strong client relationships, and ability to work cross functionally.
o   A comprehensive network / rolodex of key decision makers and industry players

The successful candidate will possess the following personal attributes and abilities:
o   A self-starter, determined and ambitious professional driven by success
o   Highly motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude and focus on results
o   Superb communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
o   A creative thinker with strong analytical and strategic abilities
o   An excellent negotiator with the ability to persuade and influence
o   Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
o   Easy going and adaptable, in line with the dynamic nature and demands of a start-up environment
