The Idea
At Columbia Business School we all learned that our own network is one of the most important assets in our career. At the Columbia Business School Alumni Club of London we are very fortunate to have one of the largest and most diverse networks among business schools and we believe we should realise its full potential.
The goal of the Mentorship Program is to connect Alumni with similar career interests or aspirations. We believe that Alumni can benefit from the experience and advice of more senior ones, who might have faced similar career challenges or decisions in the past.

Mentorship Rules
We aim to form small groups of Alumni with similar career goals and interests. The ideal group is formed of 3-5 Alumni of different seniority and experience. While the more senior Alumni would be expected to be Mentors to the more junior ones, "Mentorship" can also be between Alumni with similar seniority but different experience. The allocation to the groups is based on the professional experience of the Mentors and the career goals of the Mentees.
Mentorship commitments last for one year. New allocations are made at the beginning of each calendar year based on the latest information available for each candidate. Participants in the Program will automatically be included in future allocations, unless they notify otherwise.
Mentors commit to a minimum of two interactions per year with their Mentees. While interactions can be of any form (meetings, video calls, coffee chats, etc.), Participants are encouraged to consider Club events as opportunities to meet in person.
The Mentorship Program is available at no-cost to all dues-paying London Club Members.
