This event marks the first in a new series of real estate site visits and networking gatherings designed specifically for alumni of Columbia Business School and peer schools. It aims to bring together professionals with a shared interest in real estate, investment, and development, fostering meaningful connections alongside practical industry insights. Hosted at The Derby Hotel, a compelling example of office-to-hospitality conversion, the evening will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the asset’s evolution and the broader themes shaping adaptive reuse in London. Agenda 1. Welcome & Introduction (5–10 minutes) An introduction by the hotel’s manager, covering the history of the asset and its transformation from office space into a hotel. 2. Development Perspective & Q&A (20 minutes) A short presentation by Zoe Huang, Senior Development Manager at Dominus: • Key considerations in office-to-living / hospitality conversions • Development challenges and opportunities • Practical insights from a real-world project This session will conclude with an interactive Q&A. 3.
