SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUEL (SAF) PRODUCTION IN THE UK

SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUEL (SAF) PRODUCTION IN THE UK
KPMG AND COLUMBIA BUSINESS SCHOOL (CBS) LONDON

20 September, 18.00 Registration, 18.15 Presentation, 18.45 Panel Discussion 19.15 Networking
KPMG, 15 Canada Square, E14 5GL
The UK is the second largest consumer of Jet Fuel in the world, contributing significantly to CO2 emissions, but it does not produce a high quantity of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) fuel domestically.   Government is looking to implement a price support mechanism to promote the production of domestic SAF.  We have built a financial model to look at the cost of the support mechanism and CBS, in collaboration with KPMG, is examining the price of implementing a price support mechanism and the ultimate question of ‘Who Pays’ for the support:  Should it be Government, Industry Producers/Refineries, or the End Customer?

Join us on Wednesday evening, the 20th of September, at KPMG headquarters for a presentation on SAF fuel and a panel debate with top industry experts in the field.

6:15 to 6:45 Presentation on the current production of SAF in the UK and the Current Volumes KPMG/CBS.

1.    Governmental and industry targets for SAF production in the Jet Fuel mix
2.    What are the potential technologies and sources of SAF
3.    What are the regulatory considerations and progress for price stability
4.    Who are the players in the market currently providing SAF

6:45 to 7:15 Panel Discussion – Chair Hilary Stone, Honorary Research Fellow,Imperial College, London, asking the question of ‘Who will pay for the production / promotion of SAF?’
