Mr. Tagliaferri heads the London office of GI Partners, a $8 Billion real estate private equity fund. Prior to joining the firm, he spent six years with Nomura, after which he served as a Senior Partner at Terra Firma Capital Partners. At Nomura/Terra Firma, Mr. Tagliaferri assisted in the investment and oversight of approximately $3 billion of equity capital invested in European businesses and properties. Previously, he was Founder and Chief Executive of Dawnay Day Corporate Finance, which was ranked in the top five U.K. mergers and acquisitions boutiques during his tenure. His early career was with Deloitte & Touche, where he finished as head of its London M&A Advisory Practice. He currently holds a board seat at Urban&Civic, and has sat on the boards of Elystan Capital, The Cambian Group, The Orchid Group, Acentic GmbH, Upminster GmbH (Data 110), The Yates Group and Park Resorts. Mark received a B.S. cum laude from Wharton and an MBA from Harvard. Arnab Das, Managing Director of Global Economic Research and Strategy - Roubini Global Economics. Arnab is best known for his experience with emerging market boom-bust cycles and for insight into developed-world crisis management. Arnab advises private investors and firms, and provides in-depth macro, market and policy discussions with central banks and governments in crisis. He regularly appears in the financial and business media, including CNBC and Bloomberg, around the world. Before joining Roubini Global Economics, Arnab worked at Dresdner Kleinwort, the investment banking arm of the Dresdner Bank Group, from 2001 to 2009. He was co-head of global economics and strategy; head of global FX research and strategy; and head of emerging markets research and strategy, spanning economics and all asset classes; in addition to co-chairing asset-allocation strategy. Arnab worked in various emerging market research roles at JP Morgan from 1992 to 2001, including head of Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa strategy and senior strategist for Latin America. He achieved or led teams to repeated No. 1 rankings in emerging markets and foreign exchange strategy as recognized by Euromoney, Credit Magazine, Global Investor and FX Weekly. Arnab is based in London and New York; he studied at Princeton University and the London School of Economics and has extensive experience working in the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Russia and India. Julie Lawson '07, Portfolio Manager and Investment Committee Member, GAM. Julie is responsible for credit and relative value investments. Prior to joining GAM in July 2007, Julie spent two years at Tishman Speyer as an associate, first in the Capital Fundraising group and then in the Acquisitions and Development group. Prior to this, she worked as an investment analyst in the Real Estate Investment Banking group at Merrill Lynch in New York. Julie holds a BA (summa cum laude) in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA Honours from Columbia Business School. Arun Neelamkavil (Moderator), Director in Citi Prime Finance Sales. Arun is responsible for growing the EMEA Prime Finance franchise. Prior to joining Citi, he spent 6 years at Credit Suisse where he helped lead the Prime Consulting Team that assists Hedge Fund clients to start and grow their businesses. Arun has worked at Accenture where he was a Manager working in the Financial Markets practice, and at UBS where he managed the programme for transforming UBS Prime Brokerage's Client Technology platform. Arun holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and is a Scholar of Trinity College Dublin. |
