Our guest speakers will be sharing their experience on life in the boardroom as well as talking about the challenges, benefits and opportunities that exist to bring more women to the top. Event Panellists: Key Note Address from Nancy McKinstry ’84 - CEO and Chairman of the Board for Wolters Kluwer, number 15 on Fortune’s Global 50 Most Powerful Women in Business Nancy McKinstry is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Board of Wolters Kluwer since September 1, 2003, and Member of the Executive Board since June 1, 2001. In her current role, Nancy McKinstry lead the transformation of Wolters Kluwer to a digital company providing expert solutions that combine deep domain knowledge with specialized technology and services. Before assuming her present position in 2003, Ms. McKinstry gained more than a decade of experience at Wolters Kluwer and its operating companies in North America. Avril Martindale, Member of the Steering Committee of the 30% Club, Partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer Avril is a partner at global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where she has held various leadership roles, including sitting on its global practice management committee for many years. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the 30% Club, and co-chairs its professional service firms’ workstream. She has appeared in the Timewise UK Power Part Time Top 50 List. She led a team which won the FT’s Legal Innovation in Corporate Law Award and was selected by American Lawyer Magazine as its “Dealmaker of the Week”. She sits on the Commercial Board of the Royal Horticultural Society and on the Advisory Board of the charity Art UK. She is also a teacher coach with the charity Teach First. Avril lives in London with her husband and daughters, aged 13 and 15.
