Jazz on the Thames: A Worldwide Alumni Club Event

Online registration ended - full-price tickets are available at the door

Join alumni, family and friends for a live jazz party on a restored 1927 yacht on the Thames! London will join more than 55 cities around the world in celebration of the Columbia Business School global alumni network.

The Venue: This luxury steam yacht boasts magnificent views over the river Thames. Many distinguished guests including Heads of State, Queen Elizabeth II, Sir Winston Churchill, King Faisal of Saudi Arabia, President Brezhnev of the USSR and Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto of Pakistan have been on board when it was used as a VIP vessel by the Port of London Authority.

The Party: Feel free to bring family, friends and colleagues to enjoy this event with you. The ticket price includes access to the boat, activities (such as photobooth) and canapes. Cash bar is available.

Welcome remarks: In light of our growing startup and venture community in London, hear Meeta Gournay '08 who is a partner at Prehype, a venture development firm that co-creates startups with large corporates. Meeta has been launching startups in the UK for 6 years, the latest being Nift, a legal startup making contracts easier to understand, which was recently acquired by RBS. Prior to Prehype, Meeta worked in corporate innovation at Tesco Telecoms and before that in finance at Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers in Capital Markets and Investing.

NOTE: The yacht is permanently moored. You can get on and off at any time.
